About

The FAVO Difference
Our Crust… our pizza crust is made fresh daily in-house and is aged for 72 hours to allow the texture and complex flavors to develop. We use simple fresh ingredients without any artificial flavors or fillers. Great tasting dough needs time to develop a complex taste. Like craft beers and fine wines time is needed so the fresh yeast can ferment and combine with the grains to impart character to the dough. This proofing process allows a symphony of delicate interaction between the ingredients that forms the basis for a great tasting crust.

Our Wheat and Ancient Grains…. our (GMO and chemical free) whole wheat and ancient grains is grown by our friends at Wheat Montana Farms, near Bozeman, Montana. Our grains are milled fresh each day right here using our “Stone Burr Mill”.
This ensures all the nutrients are retained in the flour and results in a fresher tasting
crust which is better for you.

Hand Crafted… unlike pizza joints that get their dough delivered frozen from a remote commissary, ours is made fresh and hand rolled and tossed right here on location every day – out in the open for you to see.

Our Sauces…. we use high-quality Alta Cucina “San Marzano” style whole tomatoes, blended with our proprietary mix of oils and spices… made fresh in-house daily.

Our Cheeses… we use Galbani “Professionale” Whole Milk Mozzarella, Italy’s favorite cheese brand – 100% pure cheese with no fillers.

Our Toppings…. all our meats including chicken, meatballs, sausage and vegetables are sliced, roasted and grilled fresh in-house every day… it’s a lot of work – but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our Draft Beer and Wine…. we’ve brought together a great “rotating” selection of local and national craft brews to pair with your pizza…. what could be better?

Our Pizza “Joint”…. we’ve worked hard to ensure every aspect of our operation is top-notch and reflects a “new” style of “High-end Pizza Joint” – and we’re very very excited with the results.

Owners, Gene and Suzy O’Donovan

gene_and_suzy_odonnovanSuzy and Gene O’Donovan are seriously passionate about pizza. From their scratch-baking experience at Montana Mills Bread Company (a chain of 31 all natural bakeries which they owned and operated), they learned that fresh, quality ingredients make a huge difference. You won’t find another pizzeria that begins each day grinding it’s own grains and hand-rolling it’s own dough.

At FAVO, that is just the beginning.

Every day, pizza sauces and salad dressings are made from scratch, vegetables and chicken are freshly roasted, and Italian sausage and meatballs are prepared and baked. It all adds up to a difference in quality that you can taste.

After working as CPA’s in corporate America for many years, the O’Donovan’s moved on to start and operate food retail chains including Montana Mills Bread Co, The Irishman Pub and Eatery, Yotality Frozen Yogurt, and now Pizzeria Favo.
